Strawberry time at the Goffstown Historical Society

GOFFSTOWN - The Goffstown Historical Society will hold its annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. at its museum, located on the corner of Parker and Gorham Pond Roads. 

The society membership recently elected new officers for the 2007-08 year. 

President is Malcolm Morgrage; Vice-President, William Peabody; Secretary, Marie Boyle; Treasurer, Ted Rohr; Assistant Treasurer, Fred Jennings; Curator/Director, Eleanor Porritt; Assistant Curator, Barbara Mace. 

The purposes of the society are to promote interest in the history and development of the Town of Goffstown; to discover, collect, preserve and interpret materials which will establish and illustrate the history of the town. and to make this information available through publication, public meetings and exhibits. 

The public is invited to come and enjoy the various exhibits, including the wonderful model railroad room and the renovated one-room schoolhouse in which Goffstown’s children were actually educated in the past, and to enjoy some wonderful strawberry delights during the annual strawberry festival.
 
The event is free of  charge.
