Head-on crash seriously injures driver

GOFFSTOWN - A Manchester woman was airlifted to a Bay State hospital yesterday after she suffered serious leg injuries in a head-on crash on Mast Road.

Police said Jeannette Boisvert, 49, was driving east on Mast Road when her Pontiac Sunfire collided head on with a 2008 Ford box truck operated by Michael Petto, 47, of Weare.

Police said Boisvert suffered serious leg injuries and had to be extricated from her car then flown by DART helicopter to UMASS Hospital in Worcester.

Petto suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Mast Road was closed in both directions for more than 90 minutes. The crash remains under investigation although police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
