Goffstown woman fakes robbery
Police: Couple staged armed robbery

MERRIMACK - A Goffstown woman who claimed last year she was robbed at knifepoint is now accused of staging the incident with her boyfriend.

Kimberly Beaulieu, 27, of 199 Addison Road in Goffstown, and Matthew Jordan, 25, of 22 ˝ Granite St. in Nashua, have been charged in the incident, alleged to have happened last Nov. 15.

Police said Beaulieu was working at Bon Bon’s Mobil on Daniel Webster Highway last fall when she reported an early-morning armed robbery at the convenience store, Merrimack police said in a press release.

Beaulieu told police she was held at knifepoint while a suspect demanded money from a cash drawer before fleeing with it and cigarettes, police said.

The case went dormant for months “until recently when investigators from Merrimack Police Department developed new information which led to additional interviews,” the release said.

Police determined Beaulieu lied about the robbery, and had actually staged the incident with Jordan, her boyfriend.

On Sept. 30, Merrimack police responded to the Nashua Police Department to pick up Beaulieu and Jordan, who had warrants out for their arrest. At that time, Beaulieu admitted to the staging, police said.

Both were then taken to the Merrimack station.

Beaulieu was charged with theft by unauthorized taking and false reporting to police. She posted $5,000 cash or surety bail, and is scheduled to appear in Merrimack District Court on Oct. 15.

Jordan was also charged with theft by unauthorized taking and his bail was set at $5,000. He is being held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections ad is scheduled for arraignment Oct. 9.
