Local man arrested on his birthday

MANCHESTER - A local man was arraigned yesterday in Manchester District Court on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing government administration.

Kevin Martel of 19 Daniel Plummer Road was arrested on his 24th birthday Wednesday on Commercial Street in Manchester, in front of Milly's Tavern.

Martel pleaded innocent to the charges, which allege he was yelling profanities and refused to quiet down when told to, struggled with officers trying to handcuff him and interfered with the booking process by threatening to put feces on officers.

Trial was set for October 30th, and bail is $500, with conditions that include not going to Milly's Tavern.
