Parts Of Goffstown Lose Phone Service

GOFFSTOWN - Parts of Goffstown were without FairPoint phone service on Wednesday.

Police said customers in the Elm Street, Goffstown Back Road, Tibbetts, Hill Road and Tirrell Hill Road areas were most affected.

FairPoint said it hoped to restore service by 4 p.m. after the problem was traced to a cable.

The Goffstown Fire Department said it will man Station 17 at 289 Tirrell Hill Road for anyone who needs emergency service. Goffstown police will assign a dedicated cruiser to the area.
