Because The Goffstown News and The Hooksett Banner are free, it’s solely supported by advertising revenue. The economy has hurt local businesses, which in turn has meant fewer advertising dollars for the newspapers, according to Amy J. Vellucci, publisher of Neighborhood News Inc. 'The twice-monthly schedule will reduce costs and allow us to continue to publish and distribute your hometown newspaper for free.
