GTV offers classes on video editing

GOFFSTOWN Goffstown’s television station, GTV, will present two training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 15 and 16 at the studio, which is located in the rear of Goffstown High School off of Wallace Road. Class size is limited, so please register soon by sending an e-mail to goffstowntv@gmail.com. There is no charge for these sessions.

Bill Wynne from Backyard Productions will be the instructor for the classes. Class I, on April 15, will be an Intro to Cyberlink’s PowerDirector editing software. Students should bring a disc with their unedited video clips to the first class if they have one (not necessary). Classes on both nights will be two hours from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Intro class will open with a discussion on filming your event; how to transfer your clips from the camera to the computer, extracting stills from your video (why and why not to use a still shot), review work done by Bill Wynne and students.

You will also learn how to place clips into the storyboard feature, introduction on using music, picture in picture option, subtitles and editing your work. Class II, on Wednesday, April 16, will include an overview of the prior class with questions and answers. You will introduce music and/or sounds; sub titles/ PIPs to storyboard, and how to create an ending and credits.

If you have any questions, you can e-mail GTV at goffstowntv@gmail.com.
