To the Editor:

I was trying to do a bit of research concerning town employees and was surprised to see that seems not to be a list available or even a total number much less what each earns.  I seem to remember some time ago that the paper published a list of the teachers and their salaries but have not seen one as of late.  I do not ever remember seeing such a list for the other town employees. Is it possible to get this information? 

I have been watching the Budget Committee meetings and I feel we have to keep the tax rate the same if not lower than this year.  I have lived the this town for 60+ years and would like to continue to do so.  However, if the taxes continue to rise at the rate they have been going it may become impossible to afford to live here.  I was listening to the Board of Selectmen last week while they were discussing the benefit package for the unaffiliated employees and I was amazed!!!  A buy out package if one opts of of insurance coverage?  Does this happen in business?  Thanks for listening
