Thank you Barbara Griffin
Outgoing BOS member deserves recognition
March 6, 2007

Next week, voters will choose from five candidates to fill two openings on the Goffstown Board of Selectmen.  Of those five candidates, only Bruce Hunter is an incumbent.  As such, the board will, for the second year in a row, be injected with new blood. 

Current chairman Barbara Griffin is not seeking re-election this year.  And although we have taken issue with her on many occasions, her service to our community over the past several years cannot be overlooked.

Goffstown owes many thanks to Barbara for her dedication and diligent efforts to serve the best interests of its residents.  She has, to the best of her ability, led the BOS this year as its chairman through some particularly difficult times and issues, and done so  with decorum and professionalism.

As mentioned, we have disagreed with Chairman Griffin on many issues over the last few years.  But one thing we cannot argue with is the steadfast zeal and dedication she consistently applied towards serving what she has believed to be the best interests of our community.

Thank you, Barbara, for your dedication and past service to Goffstown, and good luck in your future endeavors.
