Why am I running?
Goffstown has been home to my family for the last twelve years. We are fortunate to live in a town of wonderful people and beautiful surroundings.

I’m running for Selectman because I care about making our community better.

Over the last several years I have served on a variety of town and school committees and learned a lot about how our town operates. More importantly, I’ve had the opportunity to meet hundreds of my neighbors, and learn what issues are important to you. Goffstown residents want elected officials who are honest, and listen to their concerns. They also want to ensure that our tax dollars are spent wisely for town services.

In order to keep Goffstown affordable, I believe we must strike that delicate balance between maintaining Goffstown’s small town charm and beautiful natural resources, with responsible economic growth to help offset our tax rate.

I’m confident that I have the management skills and experience that will help guide our town through the years ahead.

I’d appreciate your vote on Tuesday, March 13th.

Scott

Where Do I stand on the Issues

   • I believe in open government where citizens have access to information and can ask questions and receive answers. We need to improve the lines of communication between you the citizens and elected officials.

   • As a Goffstown resident, you are my customer. I will treat you with respect regardless of whether we agree or disagree on an issue.

   • We need to manage local spending and prioritize our capital expenses and operating costs. We must embrace change and strive to be more efficient in how we run government. We can better leverage resources between the Town and School District.

   • We must increase town revenues by aggressively pursuing more State and Federal Grants. (Example- Lynchville/Danis Park Water and Sewer)

   • I value all of our town departments. The health, safety and quality of life of all citizens are extremely important. That’s why government exists- to serve its citizens well.

   • I support a responsible plan to ensure 24x7 Fire and EMS Service. This includes some increases in staffing and short term planning on facilities improvements and apparatus.

   • I believe we need to balance the needs of both economic development and conservation to retain our town’s character, yet help stabilize our tax rate. I support Preserving Open Space.
